Where to eat

Did you know that grad school is synonymous with eating out? After a long, hard day at the lab, pizza and beer sound so much better than going home and cooking! Here is a list of our favorite eateries.

Attractions and Entertainment

Contrary to the opinion of some, there is life outside of the lab in grad school. And the best part is, there's plenty to do in Cincy. Are you a theatre buff? A symphony maven? Are comedy clubs your thing? A sports fan? All Bearcat events are free to students, including nationally ranked football and basketball. And don't forget our brand new Rec Center - 4th largest in the country, Olympic-size pools, two floors of cardio equipment, basketball, racquetball, climbing wall, smoothie bar, all free for students.  Need we say more? Here's a partial list of our favorite things to do.

Extracurricular Activities

Our graduate students are an incredibly active bunch.  In addition to research forums, poster competitions and the annual program-wide symposium, our students participate in governance organizations, charity events such as the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure, and many community activities in conjunction with the UC Cancer Center.  They are also the Program's best ambassadors, attending university and departmental functions, and assisting in graduate recruitment weekend activities.  Many of our students are active in the Health Science Graduate Association (HSGA) and the Graduate Student Governance Association (GSGA), which among other things gives out travel awards for students to attend meetings and conferences.
